A member of the cinnamon family, cassia shares many of the same attributes as the more common variety and has been used for over two thousand years. Cassia oil is known as an anti-depressant, digestive aid, and anti-bacterial. Extra care should be taken with this oil, as it can irritate the skin and mucous membranes, especially without dilution with a high quality carrier oil.
